Children learn an Aboriginal and a Torres Strait Islander song, traditional dance moves and creation stories from a First Nation educator.

THE EXPERIENCE

Barama will teach children to sing an Aboriginal and a Torres Strait Islander song and explain the lyrics and what the songs are about.

This is followed by learning about traditional dance where children get to practice some traditional dance moves, including imitations of certain animals.

Children learn about the world view of Aboriginal people and their deep connection to all living beings and to country through Barama’s storytelling. A range of authentic cultural objects is presented during this experience as well

We supply: One educator, cultural objects, pull up banners.

We need: 

Sufficient floor space for children to dance.

Session time: 30 minutes.

Age: 3 to 5 years, a maximum group size of 25 is recommended for maximum engagement.

Cost:  $495 incl. GST - $110 travel fee applies to all metro locations 25kms or more from Warrandyte
