About this Experience

This incursion is a fun-filled introduction to Aboriginal symbols and how to tell stories with them. Participants get introduced to a number of Aboriginal symbols and different styles of mark making. Participants then paint a wooden boomerang in the traditional colours to take home at the end of the day. We supply: Wooden boomerangs, paint, brushes, symbol stamps, display materials illustrating Aboriginal symbols and materials for the demonstration on how to make traditional paint. We need: Tables and chairs set up for 4-6 participants per table in a room with easy access to a sink to clean the resources afterwards. Staff assistance to set up the experience and pack down afterwards.
